The aim of concert attire is threefold. Firstly, formal attire creates an atmosphere of respect for both performers and audience members. By dressing to the nines, we distinguish concert events as a special moment in the life of our students. Secondly, concert attire honors the music making process. Concerts celebrate the dedication and hard work students apply throughout numerous rehearsal hours. Thirdly, dressing in formal attire encourages professionalism. Similar to wearing a costume in musicals, donning formal threads in a uniform manor sets the stage for a musically immersive experience that highlights the ensemble and their music.
